What I know about how the gasses are mixed goes back to Lyle and the 
product info. According to that the AS begins mixing in the body and the 
tip only mixers of conversion tips is what made them so less efficient. 
Properly mixed and delivered oxy propane will supply the same output per 
volume no matter what the device. What I now about them is based mostly 
on using mine, the hows and whys are hearsay I guess. I've used Victor 
conversion torches and they fell way short but were economical simply 
for the fuel gas price difference. One of these days I'd like to see how 
well a gasoline cutting torch works.
