Hi Paul:
Excellent link...Thanks!
I like those old Airco, 2 stage regs too and have a couple in my rebuild pile.

see page 34 for you Model 29 regulator.

I have purchased parts from them for over 5 years, although nothing in
the last few, and they have been very helpful.
I have rebuilt mostly Airco 2 stage regulators and flowmeters, gold
standard stuff. The best part is they are often available at flea
markets and car swap meets for not much cash because they are not made
anymore. But you can still get parts from SealSeat

As a total aside, whether a regulator is a demand type or pressure
regulated it still must pass around 180 cfh to equal 450,000 BTU/H which
equates to around 3 CFM from the regulator... it's kind of up to the
mixing chamber design to deal with it. The Midstates seems to have a
venturi that pulls the fuel in. Apart from anything else it would seem
that the fuel would balance the oxy flow in the Midstates design, at
least within the ability of the tip to turn down to a lower output
without melting or flashing back.

Lyle and I got along great but maybe that was because I sold a lot of torch sets for them. Oh well I'm glad to have the info to replace components when these wear out.
