Hello LloydIt's funny that you mentioned his book. I moved to Albania and had to
limit the number of books that I bought with me. I chose his because of
exactly what Jerry and others are saying about his innovation and
simplicity in making do with what you have on hand. I knew coming here
that language would be an issue for a while and his book makes a good
place to bounce ideas off of for outfitting my shop and reminding of the
techniques that I have forgotten due to lack of use. I recommend it
for sure. He covers just about everything. I would say that Randy McDs. Blacksmith Primer is an excellent book to start your adventures in Blacksmithing with. I would also recommend that until you get your technique down restrict yourself to only one or two books and after a year or so you can go hog wild! Okay there's my 2 cents, maybe it's 1, but there it is.

As soon as the weather cooperates I am going to work on getting it setup. The book I am using for starting is "A Blacksmithing Primer"
