If (a) your burn is from grasping a hot thing and (b) you have an
unheated shop in somepace like New England or Minnesota (or Nova

If you grasp the horn of the icy cold anvil, your hand is rapidly
cooled in the same places that it was burned by grasping the hot
thing.

depending on the weather and how long and hot you have been working.
Water is really good for moving heat,
and it has a chance to penetrate seared skin pretty quick.
So..first the quench followed by the horn, in the morn?
This is getting worse than the Ga-Ga stuff, fast.
Okay, okay, beyond that we risk getting into "which way does your
anvil horn point", magnetic anvil mojo and similar ga-ga territory.
