I used to make all kinds of jokes and bullshit about them.  Used to tell 
people I was so pissed off I bit them off.  One year we went to the Loeb 
center at NYU on Halloween to see Night Of The Living Dead. At the gate 
they asked for my stubs so I presented them.  Girl semi-freaked out, 
then laughed.

Once I put them by my friend Barbara's mouth, she snapped her jaws and I 
reacted as if she'd bitten them off.  The old couple seeing this almost 
stroked out on the spot.  Barbara's father was the GM of the store, and 
while a very laid back guy, he was not terribly amused.

When you grind off a digit or two all manner of possibilities for fun 
and mischief arise.
