Try the Anvil's Ring: Fasten one end of a throttle spring or similar
to a ca. 3" diameter ring of 1/4" to 3/8" stock. Attach the other end
of the spring to your stump or stand below the horn.  Stretch the
spring and pop the ring over the horn.  Deadens the obnoxious ring of
my 300# PW quite a lot.

If you need to use the horn, one quick sweep of your hand will pop
the ring off.  Put it back when you next have a few seconds of waiting
time for a heat.

Anvil or magnet?  You *always* need a bigger anvil.  Word. ;-)
