Even cheaper handle, cut a short length of 1/2 inch thin wall conduct,
(EMT), take out one side of the handle and replace the plastic. Works on
both plastic and metal 5 gallon buckets.

Subject: [TheForge] Way OT -- Bucket handles

Many metal buckets have wire handles, or bales, of maybe 3/16" wire. Hard
on the fingers when the bucket is heavy. Household buckets usually have
plastic handles maybe 1/2" in dia that help a lot -- till they break.

I just spotted these in a pool-supply store, and they seem to work well as
bucket handles:

I actually bought some of these from the above store, one of which is near
me. Note that if you search for these on-line, you may only find them at
much higher prices than 25c ea. I don't know why the exorbitant mark-ups,
other than greed. This place sells on-line, but I have no idea what the
shipping charges might be.
