Zach,

In general once you know what you are looking for you start to see 
blacksmith tools at flea markets, antique stores, and garage sales.

A lot of times antique stores have a section where they put the rusty stuff 
they don't really want to deal with, and sell at a reasonable price.

The good thing about blacksmithing, once you have the basic tools to get 
started, you can make a lot of the specialty tools for yourself.

Get involved in a local group, you will find guys there that are more than 
willing to share what they know.
