[TheForge] historical blacksmithing questions (Jerry Frost)

I wish I knew the rest of the story but it's still developing. What I
remember from the historical stuff is in part from watching the History,
Discovery and Nat Geo channels AND reading posts from a very well read
character on the IforgeIron Forum. I also have a good if new friend who has
a masters in history of all the non-marketable degree choices, still, he's
really interesting to talk with. He chose his particular studdies for the
love of it, not to make a living or he'd be teaching.
Any who, I'll hit him up for more, next time we see each other. I'm teaching
him smithing so we see each other fairly often. It's so good to have a
weathered in shop and big barrel stove. <grin>
