Warm and windy here on the edge of the central CA coast. A bit worried about a late season wildfire.
This is the weather's joke where the wind blows all the dead leaves and pine needles into the drainage channels and all the tarps off of everything i want to stay dry; just before the rains open up.
Been working my old lathe, taking the first cuts on a battered 5" length of 3" diameter everdur (?) bronze shafting from a retired heavy trawler.
It is to become a lower counterweight in the form of a "Mayan" sun symbol, on a staff with a rather elaborate forged bronze "Mayan Ferryman's Symbol" finial on top, for a very "new age" ( second generation) client. It's the funniest commission i've had in a long time and i pride myself in having kept a straight face..mostly.
Also doing a bunch of small bronze forgings..face-knobs.

My power, cell phone, and internet only came back on a couple days

No damage at my place, but the Jersey Shore is a bit of a mess. Those
of you with television probably know that already.
