[TheForge] belt driven lathe and drill press

Hi all,
I was shoeing some horses for the city of Bridgeport, CT. In the facility
there is a belt driven lathe and press. I was thinking that maybe it would
be a good idea to try and find this system a home. I haven't brought it up
yet with the people who run the facility. They may just say take it. Maybe.
It may be more difficult but it's certainly not on anyone's radar over
there. Seeing it scrapped would be painful. Does anyone know a place that
could not only put this to use but also do so in a way that would have some
educational value?

Will this list allow links? I could put it up on flicker.com so you could
take a look. It literally looks like someone turned off the lights, opened
the windows and walked out 60 years ago.
