Good catch. Vaughan hammers may be pretty decent, but based on other
sellers are asking for various kinds of Vaughan hammers on ebay, they
aren't gold.
Got me thinking what new farrier hammers went for, so I went looking at
Centaur Forge's new 2.5 pound rouding hammers.

The $350 eBAY shined up rounding hammer, with the beautiful laminated
handle and those glue joints from the laminations in the handle might look
nice hanging on the wall, but I would'nt want it riding in a truck box
with a bunch of other hammers and such. Also that handle might not be
nearly resilient compared to a solid hickory handle, as in an unpolished
vaughan currently selling @ $40 as a farrier's hammer.
