Unless there was some other overarching, rational need beyond the 
marginal increase in efficiency, the investment is an utter bomb from a 
business point of view.  For example, if the old system was on the 
ropes, needed replacement, and would have cost about the same, then the 
investment might make sense.  Solar panels... big whoop.  Even the 
amorphous panels produce far less than optimal energy conversion - but 
with LED elements they might make enough.  They are not, however, the 
great "green" saviors some would have the world believe.  I am not sure 
what is meant by "ground source HVAC", so who knows - that might make up 
the difference, but it would have to be something really neat to justify 
the investment, IMO.
