[TheForge] OT: Government waste

What kind of light bulbs I use should be my choice - not some
government agency. The government at all levels is way too intrusive
into the lives of it's citizens.

Now off my soap box.

In our new buildings, we are using nothing but high efficiency lighting and most commercial structures are retrofitting as fast as they can. The payback is just too fast to ignore.

Look at the lumens - that will show you the output - not watts. You can find some comparisons on color rendition on-line. I just got some new LED bulbs that are fantastic. They are replacement for "40W" but they give out more that the 40W ever did and the color is good too. AND they are 8W.
