There is just too much miss-information being put out there by the gun lobby.

Since 1982, there have been at least 62 mass murders* carried out with firearms across the country, with the killings unfolding in 30 states from Massachusetts to Hawaii.

Of the 142 guns possessed by the killers, more than three quarters were obtained legally.  << So registration is not the solution and gun theft is NOT the problem.

49% of those mass murders had semi-automatic handguns and 35% had assault weapons.  << Notice anything unique here?

NEARLY 75% of all mass murders used semi automatic weapons.

If I owned one of these weapons, I would be so ashamed and afraid that I would destroy it today.
