Yeah, yeah, well, okay. Pronounced "Ot". It's my years as a mekanik
-- for a while there I was a VW hot shot -- peeking through.

"Ot " is good!
I like to hold my nose and say .."art, art, art, spoken as the duck quacks".

Right, plus all that tedious cutting and welding of heavy, relatively
expensive structural shapes for the frame. I forget the price at
Princess Auto but, as I recall, it was cheap enough to offset a lot of
tedious welding. Chinese manufacture, of course, with whatever random
imperfections that might entail.

A valid argument.
Out of basic leftover habit from when we were poorer, and as proud possessor of a modest little junkyard,
i tend to look around for ready-made components. And try to make my own . That sometimes is satisfactory,
and sometimes so time consuming that it's a fool's pursuit.
There's a beefy old punchpress in the front yard that i use for a static frame to carry a couple of wheels.
I need to include a bit of forgiveness in the overly rigid set-up.
Makes me lust for a powered version.
