Everybody does stupid now and then, others are rotten bastards all the time. 
I've been taken in more than once, this last time is actually embarassing, 
he wasn't particularly convincing. If I hadn't known his associate of the 
time, a retired AST cop and trusted the cop I would've been unwilling to get 
involved. I've forgiven the thief, he is what he is and I had plenty of 
warning. My "friend" the ex cop on the other hand knew he was untrustworthy 
and suckered me in with full knowledge. Him . . .
