Somewhere around here I have a card of widgets sold for repairing leaky
"pots". Lessee... yes:

National Woodenware Company Ltd. St. Thomas, Ont.

                          POT MENDERS

Complete with spanner -- No other tools or skill needed

Small very-flat-headed bolt, square nut, 2 aluminum washers, 1 gasket
paper (?) washer. I think I last used one in 1973. [1]

Not to forget that you can fix a small corrosion pit leak in an
aluminum pot just by gently peening it shut. Back about that same
year, my draught horse walked all over an aluminum cook pot and ended
up with it clenched around one shoe. I pried it off, tink-tinked it
back more or less into shape and peened shut a couple of holes. Wasn't
much of a pot after that but it didn't leak.

[1] Yes Andy, you were only 15 years old.
