The FAA pulled his medical at age 74 after an air show.  He took them to 
court and it was later restored.  In the interim, Australia granted him 
a license and medical.   He flew again in an airshow in 1997.   He flew 
his Shrike for the last time in 2003 when it was placed in a museum.   
He is 90.  I don't know when or if he stopped flying privately.   He 
recently got called to talk a P51 pilot with a stuck gear down as he 
evidently had extensive experience shaking the gears loose on that bird.
