I've had a propane cutting tip for years but used it only seldom,
however since the acetylene boom, I dug it out and also bought a new MFN
rosebud for my Victor torch. It works well, albeit a bit differently
from acetylene. I can't tell much - if any - difference. I use a "gas
saver" device and as such keep the torch handles adjusted for the
flame. The gas saver has a pilot light to light the torch. This
doesn't work well w/ propane for some reason so I usually use the
striker to light the torch. On the other hand, the pilot light isn't
perfect with acetylene either. I haven't changed my regulator, still
using the same one.
