Given what has been said about how hard it is to get an LP tank to blow up. 
Why was there such a fuss last year when the guy tried to blow one up in 
Times Square?  Do they want to propogate the myth that an LP tank makes a 
good bomb, or were they just looking at the amount of fuel in it and 
figuring out how big a bang it would make IF they got it to blow?

I just got an oxygen tank to make a bell out of. It was harder than I 
expected to get the valve off it.  It took a large pipe wrench and an 
extention to turn it. No time to finish, maybe in a couple months when I get 
caught up.
