Propane will attack type "R" hoses and cause them to crack eventually, a propane cutting tip is well worth the cost, a LP heating tip will be a nice addition. On small tips the standard acetylene regulator will work but it is limited to 15psi output, some larger cutting and heating tips will require a 30-60 psi.
