Thankfully - here in NE Texas - I haven't had the need arise to use a generator in the last few years but in the event I do, I'll use my portable welding rig as it has a 220/110 output. I think I can get 10-12 hours of run time on 1 tank of gas. Only run the essentials, freezers, etc. James
