I have used my NC Whisper Momma gas forge.... maybe 10 or 12 years, but it
has grown old and tired, as have I... but I have been thinking of
replacing it with a new one.
Larry Zoeller makes what looks to me to be an economical, decent
naturally asperated gas forge. I bought some of his blacksmithing items
on ebay maybe 3,4, and 5 years ago, and liked his work. I was a repeat
customer. I remember reading an eBAY question about forge welding with
his Zoeller Forge, and Larry responded that if forge welding was your
goal, he would recommend buying the Chileforge.
Mostly, I just want my gas forge to get the iron and steel hot, and as
quickly as possible. For welding, I have my old AC /DC stick welder, and
another old mig welder to glue the steel together.
