[TheForge] OT -- 59 mm Acme thread fittings?

Anyone know anything about 59mm Acme threaded pipe fittings?  I have
some IBC tote tanks I'm rigging up as a rainwater collection system,
and most of these have an odd thread.  It looks like Acme thread,
(about 2 5/16" = 59 mm OD), and I found references to such fittings
from a couple of companies in Oz.  I'd like to find out what pitch the
threads are, and whether there are any reasonably priced adapters
available in the US.

I really don't want to have to make these myself!

I'm also wondering about those rubber hoses with hose clamps you see
at Home Depot.  I don't seem to find one that would fit, but I could
always use the idea with a nonstandard hose.  The question there is
how to get a seal on male threads.  Putty?
