Again, phenolic toes don't stay mushed if you drop something really heavy on 
them so no cutting necessary unless you let your foot swell before you pull 
your boots.

Odd sizes can be dealt with by wearing the external foot protectors though 
you'll look like you're wearing a bad Hollywood armor costume. Still, 
they're a lot tougher than steel toes and they cover your whole foot.
