I had a very well loved cat named Sam, he was taken from me when he was about 7.
Now I have a puppy named Rufus, who is a wonder friend. As kim knows I have a
small barn, as well as couple of work building, but currently those building are
the home to my barn cats. I think I currently have 8 or 9. Only one has a name,
the rest answer to Hey You.
Rufus came up to the momma cat barking at her from the rear, she turned around
and smacked him but good with her claws out. He doesn't bother her now. Momma
Cat must be 12 pounds, Rufus is about 80 pounds, not a fair fight, the cat will
always win.
Rufus is my house dog as well as my farm dog. The cats are not domestic so they
don't live in the house. Some of my barn cats are cats that city people drove
way out in the country to drop them off because they are not wanted. These
feline warriors keep the mice and the bugs down plus I have to defend my barn
cats from the local Coyotes.
Rufus is my buddy and protector of the property, the barn cats are refuges that
are now illegal immigrant labor for me. The cats don't have any records or shots
and can't speak or understand English.
Jerry

Bobert's quote was;
"Dogs have masters,
Cats have staff."
Just found gophers in the garden;
the cats win diet nights.
