ObSmithing: Trying to build an attachment to an attachment to my
portapower that I can insert into a new pair of work boots that will
expand the steel toe caps just a bit so they don't chafe my toes.  May
not be possible but I'm giving it a go.  Which brings to mind, BTW,
the reason I'm doing this....

Have I asked this here already?  Anybody know of a shoe store, safety
supply, farmer's coop or overstocked "woorkboots provided" type
industrial employer who has on hand JB Goodhue #07719 "Oil Rigger"
works boots in size 12?  Pic here:

I've been wearing these boots for decades.  Goodhue has been borged by
Indeka and has ceased production of #07719.  At my age, a couple of
pairs would keep me in boots I like for as long as I'll want to wear
heavy boots.  I've been all over the net with little luck.  But
somewhere out there is a pile of old new stock with my boots in it.

(The red laces in the pic are, of course, largely cosmetic but my
provide a visual cue to remind you where you may have seen these.)
