The NJBA board just tentatively approved another anvil-repair workshop
for 2011, given sufficient interest.
Details are not available yet, but last time we charged $100 for basic
edge and face repair, with a premium charged for additional material
needed (like for major pieces of face missing, etc.) We can repair
any sort of anvil - iron or steel.
Participation is required, but you will not be doing the welding
yourself (unless you convince us you're a pro). There's lots else to
do. Never a dull moment.
In all probability this will come off sometime in the autumn -- after
the heat of summer. It would be held in Howell (near Freehold), NJ.
Membership in NJBA is required for all our workshops, but you can join
when you come to the workshop ($20).
If you are interested, please respond and we'll notify you when
further details are available. If you can circulate this to other
lists, such as knife-makers, that would be appreciated.
