Or, as in the case of the guy I got my first power hammer from, when
he sawed off his right thumb.  (January, unheated shop, wearing gloves
at the table saw. Snag....Oy!)

Anyhow, old blacksmiths don't generally retire.  They just slack off a
bit.  I'm doing that. :-)
