I'd go no less than 200a - 220v single phase. I'd love to have 3ph but the 
nearest pole is about 1/2 mile and a minimum $250,000 away and THEN the 
connection fee alone is enough to make me buy a phase converter for the few 
3ph motors I have. That's here of course, I can't speak for the lower 48.

If it's affordable 3ph is de bomb, it's MUCH more efficient.
