[TheForge] Electric forge blower

Thanks Jim,
That's a good link. I had been looking at those, but I really don't know
what the output requirements for a coal forge are. That's why I looked
at the blacksmith suppliers. Unfortunately, the 164 CFM and "40oz PSI"
doesn't quite compare directly with the nice specs at Grainger, which
give you the CFM at various SP levels. I'm assuming that the Kayne
blower is really 40" SP @0 CFM, not 40oz PSI, which is a mixed metric,
unless it's really 40oz Per Sq. Inch as opposed to the conventional use
of PSI (Pounds per Sq Inch).
Looking at the beefier 115VAC blowers at Grainger, they'll cost about
the same as forge blower, and the latter will likely have less messing
around to make it fit and work.
So back the the original question: Is the 164CFM blower adequate? And
about what level of Static Pressure is needed?
BTW, (in response to Bob's suggestion) I have used a forge with an
electric blower, and you do use more fuel. I'm looking to control the
"idle" blast, but sometimes (like while forge welding) being able to
keep the fire hot while I'm at the anvil will be a big time saver. I'm
intending to use baffles and blast gates to control my draft.
