Dear TheForge members.
FIRST:
There is a program, lets call it a bot or a robot just for the fun of it.
This robot processes all of the mail that goes into or out of TheForge
mail list.
It (the robot) follows certain pre-programed procedures. Not programmed by me.
One of which says that if you send an e-mail to TheForge, you can only
use one address
to send your message to: theforge at mailman.qth.net
You can not use multiple addresses, you can not put other addresses in
the CC field or in the BCC field.
If you do, the robot will get very upset and throw a fit and not
process your e-mail.
Then it will ask me what it should do, (multiple choice answer) I am
going to tell the robot to
delete or reject the message.
SECOND:
If you open an e-mail, be it from TheForge or your aunt Judy, and this
e-mail has no personal message
and just a http link to click on,,,,,,, DON'T CLICK IT! More than
likely it is going to be a virus or some
other nasty thing that is going to screw up your computer. Even if it
appears to be from a trusted friend,
if there is no explanation or if you weren't expecting it, DON'T CLICK IT.
We have one right now that appears to be from Mike Graf and he is
asking me to delete the link.
Mike sent his message to several addresses which got the robot angry
and the robot bounced the message.
I don't know where the message came from . Why did Mike send it on to TheForge
in the first place? Below is a modified version of what Mike sent. By
putting spaces in the copied address
I think that I rendered it useless. If you get an e-mail that looks
like this, DON'T CLICK ON IT.
