A young lady at Pennsic wore a chain mail bikini top through the
afternoon at Pennsic (which is held during the last week of July,
first week of August) up on the baqttlefield (dead flat, no trees).
She also wore neither sunscreen nor a cloth liner under the chain
mail. She managed to get herself a fairly serious sunburn, in a chain
mail pattern- some directly from the sun, other bits where the metal
heated up against her flesh.
She was treated and released. I saw her later, and she was wearing a
top that covered the affected area- I haven't seen her at Pennsic
since.
Pictures? do tell me you have a pic or two that don't identify the lady of
course but I'd love to see the pattern.
Reminds me of my younger days and friends who fell asleep at the beach. We'd
carefully drizzle sunburn lotion (Yeah, this was pre sunscreen) in
interesting patterns, words, sketches, etc. Heck, it wasn't that long ago a
person who drifted off at certain bars would be subjected to "fun with felt
pens." The mayor of Valdez walked around for a couple days with a sleepy
felt pen happy face on the top of his bald head. I don't want to know why it
took a couple days to notice it but that is Valdez for you.
