You really should have a plate inside the drum anyway; just cut it to
fit..

if its 2" square tube buy a pipe nipple that will fit inside the tubing
and the floor flange to fit the nipple weld the floor flange to the hole
in the drum and the nipple in the top of the tube with enough sticking
out to screw them together
