How far back does your experience go? I'm convinced HF products
(Chinese products) have improved substantially over the years.
Dunkin Donuts used to use a glaze I coudn't abide -- I couldn't walk
into one of their shops without gagging from the smell. Somewhere
along the line, DD turned into a quite decent donut shop with coffee
far better than the renowned Starbucks. (Not that that's saying much
-- any 7-11 has coffee better than Starbucks!)
My point is that you need to reevaluate your opinions from time to
time -- unless the bastards have cheated you. (J.C. Penney's cheated
me about 25 years ago and I've never bought a thing from them since.)
Not to say I never get a bad item from HF -- the soaker hoses I got
for cheap there last year seem to be garbage this year. But most of
what I get is really quite decent. This is not to say "professional
quality", but I'm an amateur, part-time, hack. I do NOT need a
professional-quality welder, shield, etc. I just need it to work.
