>> I just got this note from John Mc L.
I got to use one of them when i demoed at to CBA 2010 spring conf, and quite liked it.
It featured cast bronze ram guides and a joint saving treadle linkage. It also featured
top and bottom tool accommodations.
I 'd like to see a more massive anvil, but that's a DUI project and makes it less portable.
Just wanted to give you a heads up that I’m building some more hammers, if you know anyone that may want one.
The new ones are going to have a cast head and guides.
Looks like they pencil out at $2800.00…weigh about 550 lbs.
I’m going to offer a kit also….with the head and guides, springs, and misc. pins, bushings, etc.
It looks like it will run about $880.00
I don’t have solid pricing from the foundry yet…but it sounded like it wouldn’t be any more than this.
