True, but oxygen and other "gas tanks" are correctly called "cylinders",
C-clamp vise grips are really "quick clamps"
and on and on, but if I tell one of people to bring the ox/ace "tanks"
he/she better know what I'm talking about

I've made my living first and foremost as a boilermaker/welder and 
couldn't agree with you more. My shields, automatic or not, are not
helmets.
