[TheForge] Auto darkening helmet

I too have used the auto darkening shield for years and could not  get along without it.
BUT,,, I have an issue with calling the thing that SHIELDS one's face and eyes from the light and heat of the arc a HELMET.....
Even the people that sell them call them helmets but that is incorrect. A helmet protects one's head from bumps and falling objects
but won't do much to protect one's eyes. (unless one takes it off and uses it as a shield) haha
A shield does a fine job of blocking the rays and heat of the arc but won't protect you from a falling object.
I know that this is not an important issue, but for a group of folks that know the difference between iron and steel and
might get upset for using the wrong term there. I have a pet-peeve about calling the thing a helmet and ask for your support
in educating folks about the correct terminology. Long live the SHIELD !!!
Down with Helmets and Duck Tape.

stepping down from my soap box now
