Several years ago we had a solid run of heat at least 110 degrees and a cold
front came in finally to break the heat wave. The high temp went from 110 to
80 overnight. My mother called me from Michigan to chat. She started griping
about the weather there, 85 degrees and miserably humid. So I told her we
just had a cold front come through and the temperature dropped 30 degrees so
I was getting my sweatshirt out. So, she says how cold is it and I told her
80 degrees.
You know, you're never too old to catch hell from your mother. :-)

CNN just reported 117* in Atlantic City.
At least they have the ocean nearby.
