I got a call last night from one of our members that was interested in 
building a self contained air hammer. He was thinking of using two comercial 
made air cylinders, a 5" driven by a 3hp motor and a 3" to drive the 50lb 
ram. Have any of you done this or seen this done?

My self contained has a 9" piston driven by a 5hp motor and a 7" piston 
driving the 75lb ram.  My main concern was the size of the ports on the 
cylinders.  My hammer has huge air ports to move a lot of air between the 
two cylinders.
