Hey, use what works and is handy. Though I'd say that is probably going to
have a fairly short lifespan. Scour your local auto shops, and you can
usually come up with a huge old brake drum or rotor, weld that to a 3"
gasline flange, thread on a tee with a close nipple and voila' $30-40
firepot. You can also find a nice cast iron grate that will fit the hole.
