Subject: Power Hammer Workshop
Greetings forging enthusiests,
I am testing the waters to see how much interest I would have if I sponsored
a "Power Hammer Workshop" featuring Steve Parker, from Illinois.
Steve was (is?) a student of Clifton Ralph, who is a genious when it comes
to utilizing the power hammer to its fullest capacity.
Most recently, Steve has been demonstrating power hammer techniques around
the country, and was a featured demonstrator at last year's ABANA conference
in Memphis, TN.
If you are interested, or know of someone that would be interested, contact
me ASAP, as I would like to get a weekend set-up for Steve to come here and
work with my 110 lb. Sahinler SM-50.
Some aspects of what Steve would demonstrate should enlighten your use of
this underused machine in your shop. I know I have much to learn from him,
and I've had a power hammer for over 25 years.
Please forward this e-mail to whomever you may know that might be
interested. Once I have an idea as to how many folks would attend, I can
let you know specifics, i.e. cost, time and date.
My shop, Bighorn Forge, is located 45 minutes north of Milwaukee, just off
of Hwy. 45 in the town of Kewaskum. West Bend (about five to ten minutes
away) is the nearest larger village, and has many hotels and restaurants.
Should also be a good time to get-together and trade stories.
Regards,
Dan Nauman
