Just one more note.
The original of this burner had a damper in the line between the blower 
T and the gas. I thought I might get too much air with just the spill 
gate. It was all the way open when I got done. That probably is due to 
internal resistance in the piping and the forge configuration. It may 
not be the case  in another application.
