Fire ants spray formic acid.  We use formic acid at work to remove
epoxy.  Folks that are bee sting sensitive freak out and run away.
Apparently bees inject you with formic acid.  The wife carries an epipen
(pronounced Pehn) around with her, one in the car, one in the house, you
get the idea.

After one application those that are left vacate the nest, move 5 feet
(or so) and set up housekeeping.  After the second application either
they are dead or move a LOOONGNGGGGG way away.  Don't see hide nor hair
of them again<G>.  The wife uses a half cup of gas.
