I like the idea.  I'll take it one step further into the weird and say we add the resultant carbon to steel to make knives, swords, axes, and hammers with.

Yet another fellow smith is on his way out and a growing number of my metal working friends and peers,
have been doing involuntary dances with doctors....
Found myself feeling more mortal than usual...posted this in that context on another board..
