[TheForge] A little OT -- a mini-scale saber saw?

Yes, well that's the other problem. I may be sawing into the side of a box.
That mean's I'd want to mark the outside of the box, but if I clamp
the box to the top of the V-board, I can't see the mark. And if I
clamp it to the bottom, the handle has to be inside the mark. This
means I'd have to mark the inside of the box, which might not be
feasible, and even so, the distal end of the saw would have to be
inside the box.
Since the end of the jeweler's saw is not infinitesimal, that would
give me a maximum stroke of maybe 1/2" to 1" LESS than the dimension
of the inside box in that direction. For a box 1" wide, this would
get ridiculous. For a 2" box it would barely be feasible.
All in all, I prefer the saber saw idea.
