Working with oen Dorothy Bradley at Bell, one would have come to expect
otherwise. Born again, she tolerated no swearing. Every time I let fly
"shit" or "fuck", the darts would stream from her eyes as if she were
attempting to emulate her personal vision of how the good Jesus squirted
blood from the eyes. Sometimes it was funny, sometimes not so much so.
Then one day when the lunatic Andrew Kidd took over as PM, we had
preciousness happen. In his overly grasping desire to be "cool", he at
one point sat back in his chair and said, "yeah, we're gonna have a lot
of fun, but you fuckers are going to work your asses off." My eyes
clicked over to Dottie's mug with sub-nano-second swiftness. She got a
look on her self-righteous mug as if someone had just shoved two
pineapples up her backside the hard way. I suspect that had I been
smarter and more daring by passing out pistols at the door as the team
assembled for the meeting, she'd have shot him on the spot. If only she
had. Kidd once sat me down in his office and told me in all seriousness
that I was a minion of satan. He didn't stop there, either, but 'nuff said.
