Yeah, the Pacific NW has its own air pollution problems. I remember
passing through the Grants Pass area one vacation a decade or so ago,
and the whole place was socked in with smoke. Trash-burning day,
judging from the plumes of smoke everywhere. It's not that there was
all that much smoke -- it just wasn't going anywhere!
Greek myth says that if the smoke rises straight up, the gods accept
your sacrifice. I guess the gods don't accept trash as a sacrifice!
