If it is truly tungsten and not tungsten carbide then it can be forged
but, the forging temperature is 2900F - 3000F way hotter than your
forge would typically operate. If it is tungsten carbide then no you
cannot forge it as it is a ceramic not a metal it is formed by
sintering and ground to shape.

Jim,

Other than being imposible to forge how can I tell if it is tungsten 
carbide?
